However, while they offer more flexible availability, they are not on call 24/7; live-in nannies have designated weekly hours to ensure they have balanced work time and rest. If you need more around the clock care or more than 50 hours per week, you might want to consider hiring two full time rotational nannies (ROTA Nanny).
A live-in nanny provides comprehensive childcare support, including planning age-appropriate activities, preparing meals, driving children to and from activities, and creating a safe, nurturing environment. They also will often assist with light housekeeping tasks related to the children.

All nannies must meet the minimum requirements:

CPR and First Aid certified
Able to legally work in the US
Valid US driver's license
Non-smoking

After being offered a position, our agency conducts a 7 year background search screening criminal, social security verification, driving record and sexual offenders registry.
We also do a full social media and google/online screening on each candidate.

Yes, nannies and household managers are considered household employees and you are required to pay employer taxes and issue them with a w-2. Nannies are not independent contractors and should not get a 1099. We have payroll partners we are happy to connect you with!
