This role does not provide medical care, but is a hybrid of a personal assistant and household manager.

β $400 New Search Registration fee
β 15% of the Elder Care Companions yearly gross income
β Average elder care companion/family assistant rate is $30-40/hr per hour depending on job factors such experience and duties needed

We start our process with an agency interview where we go over their experience, qualifications, and agency expectations.
All candidates must meet the minimum requirements:
Minimum of 3 years professional related experience
CPR and First Aid certified
Able to legally work in the US
Valid US driver's license
Non-smoking
Minimum of 3 professional references
After being offered a position, our agency conducts a 7 year background search screening criminal, social security verification, driving record and sexual offenders registry.
We also do a full social media and google/online screening on each candidate.

Elder care companions are like a blend of a personal assistant and household manager. They are not nurses and do not provide medical services but they can help with personal and home tasks such as: meal prep, laundry, driving to appointments, running errands, home organization, light cleaning around the house, companionship such as playing card games, taking you to a movie/play, going to lunch, etc.

Yes, Elder Care Companions are considered household employees and you are required to pay employer taxes and issue them with a w-2. Elder Care Companions are not independent contractors and should not get a 1099. We have payroll partners we are happy to connect you with!

Yes! We provide our clients with a sample contract template for them to use once you get to the hiring stage. We will help answer questions you may have while putting together the contract but we do not put together the contract as an agency since you are the employer.
