What Should I Gift My Nanny Family for the Holidays?
A gift should never be out of obligation and most nanny employers would not expect a gift from their nanny, but if you’re looking for a thoughtful gift that doesn’t break the bank, we have some great ideas for you! We asked recently in a nanny group what their favorite gifts were to give to their nanny families so we decided to compile a list.
- A photo album or framed picture of your nanny kids.
- Organize a photographer to have professional photos taken of their children.
- Bring them a home-cooked meal or other baked goods.
- A bottle of wine, liquor or favorite craft beer.
- A gift voucher for a free night of babysitting (you could set an amount, most nannies said they did 4 hours)
- You could also include a gift card for a restaurant they love to use for their date night!
- An ornament or other craft made by their child (bonus points for tiny foot and handprints!)
- An experience gift for the family to do together.
- Charcuterie board with cheese, meat and fruit.
- A handmade gift if you are crafty! (Some ideas: handpainted ornament, crocheted pot holder or blanket, etc)
Do you give gifts to your nanny family or just the kids? Happy Holidays from Your Happy Nest!
