Kristina has been on the Your Happy Nest team since 2014 when she started working in our Atlanta location. She moved back home to Cincinnati in 2015 and started offering our services to Cincinnati families since then! Read here to learn more about Kristina!
How long have you been with Your Happy Nest: It will be 5 years in July. Time flies when you are having fun!
What is your role with the company: I am the family and nanny coordinator for Cincinnati, OH location.
What is the most rewarding part of your job: My favorite part of being a nanny was the special relationships that I was able to develop with the children and families I cared for. Working as a placement provider gives me the opportunity to help others find the same wonderful experience I enjoyed so much.
Where are you from originally: Fun fact: I named my daughter, Clara, after my hometown of Claryville, KY
Where is your favorite spot to go for a night out or a date night: My husband and I enjoy trying new restaurants, watching the Reds play in our hometown stadium, going to concerts, and viewing performances at the Aronoff and Taft Theaters.
What is the last book you read or you are currently reading: Reading? What’s that?! I haven’t had time to pick up an adult book since I had my daughter almost 6 years ago.
What song would you choose to sing for karaoke: At our wedding we had a DJ/Karake afterparty. I sang Ice Ice Baby, Party in the U.S.A, and Wanna Be A Baller- ha!
What is your favorite place you’ve been on vacation: In the past 16 years I’ve had the opportunity to travel to a lot of great places. Last year my mom and I took my daughter to Disney for her first time. Seeing my daughter's eyes light up as she met the characters was truly magical. I also really enjoyed honeymooning in Italy this past fall. It was my first time traveling to Europe and I had a great time learning the culture, seeing historic sites, eating incredible food and drinking fantastic wine all while relaxing with my new hubby and soaking in all the romantic one-on-one time we had together.
What is your favorite place to go in Cincinnati with kids: This is a tough one! There are so many kid friendly activities in Cincinnati, it’s difficult to choose a favorite place. We have passes to The Aquarium, The Museum Center, Kings Island, and the Zoo. We also enjoy going to our local parks- Ault and Alms, and on a hot day you will likely catch us at the splash pad at the Banks or Washington Park or our local pool at the Sports Club.
Do you have any interesting skills or hobbies: I can’t say I have any interesting skills, but I do enjoy baking with fresh ingredients and I am a pretty good baker if I say so myself!
